With Greater Sydney estimated to grow by an extra 2.71 million people and 570,000 homes by 2036, Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success (P4S) program was created to maintain the health of Sydney’s waterways and ensure reliable water infrastructure for Sydney’s growing population.

The new program aims to meet the future needs of Sydney’s growing population and will deliver greater value to Sydney Water and its customers through reduced costs and improved efficiency of capital and maintenance delivery ensuring Sydney’s iconic way of life is maintained for the community.

Under the collaborative infrastructure delivery framework, Sydney Water formed a 10-year partnership with three Regional Delivery Consortia - in the north, south and west of Greater Sydney - to deliver end-to-end design, construction, maintenance, and facilities management services. The consortia are each responsible for the maintenance, renewal, and upgrade of existing assets in their respective region, as well as the construction of new assets.

P4S aims to deliver year-on-year efficiencies to both reduce costs and drive innovation, delivering outcomes for both Sydney Water and its customers, and the performance of each consortium will be reviewed after five years.
