New year, new end-of-trip facilities at Chatswood

If moving more is one of your goals this year, we are excited to share that maintaining regular physical activity throughout the working week will be far more accessible in 2023, thanks to the newly operational, end-of-trip facilities at our Chatswood office.

Whether you walk, run, ride, or hit the gym, these state-of-the-art amenities on the B1 level of the carpark make it easier for those who choose to be active before or after work.

The new end-of-trip facilities include:

  • 176 new lockers (for day use only- no items to be kept overnight)

  • Storage for 82 bicycles, including bike pumps and a repair station

  • 13 showers (eight female and five male)

  • Fully accessible Disability Discrimination Act-compliant bathroom

  • GHD hair straighteners and Dyson hairdryers

  • Mechanically exhausted airing cupboards

North Delivery Team (NDT) Innovation, Technology, and Risk Lead Ian Hardcastle was especially pleased with the upgrade. A keen cyclist, Ian recently used the facilities to change his brake pads, finding the repair station set-up particularly useful.

"It's fantastic to see such great quality end-of-trip facilities available. The new amenities allow people to run, ride and walk to work, supporting a healthy work-life balance", he said.

NDT Community Engagement Advisor Portia Watson echoed Ian's sentiments, describing the new end-of-trip facilities as "a total game changer".

"Now, I can include a run or walk as part of my commute, knowing I have a place to shower and change at work. And with fresh towels provided, along with drying cabinets and hair tools, what more could you want!" Portia said.

If making time for being active is a priority in 2023, why not include some walking, running, or cycling in your commute, and try the new amenities? The end-of-trip facilities are available between 6 am and 8 pm, Monday through Friday, and accessible using your Chatswood office pass.
